As a result of a recent retirement, this exciting and challenging role has become available within our Women’s Services Program.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Crisis and High risk Response Family Violence services provided by WAYSS. This includes the management and supervision of Team Leaders, overall responsibility for service provision to clients, effective working relationships with partnership organisations and meeting program service and financial outcomes.
The focus of service provision is to women and women and their children who are experiencing family violence and are in crisis and either homeless or at risk of homelessness. The programs included under the management scope of this role are;
• Child Protection Family Violence Partnership
• Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP)
• L17 Response
• Southern Women’s Integrated Support Services
To be successful in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least 5 years management experience and demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in;
• Leading, the development and management of teams.
• A commitment to providing quality services in the sector.
• The successful application of current theory relating to the provision of Family Violence
services in the homelessness sector.
• A working knowledge or experience of the Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP).
• An understanding of Police response to Family Violence via the L17 program.
• An understanding of the Child Protection system.
• A working knowledge or experience in a residential crisis facility.
• The Victorian legal system and how it specifically relates to Family Violence.
• Developing, fostering and maintaining partnerships.
• The financial management of funded agencies.
Your Terms and Conditions are subject to the WAYSS enterprise agreement which includes five weeks annual leave and a generous salary packing option. Salary is subject to qualifications and experience.
