About the role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support and guidance to all families staying at the House including, complaints and dispute resolution between families
  • Manage guest accommodation bookings including final decision for prioritisation and managing the wait list
  • Ensure a smooth arrival and departure process for the families
  • Facilities Management including, management of supplier relationships, ordering and maintenance within budget
  • Manage and oversee WHS policies and procedures for families, staff and volunteers
  • Manage and mentor administrative team
  • Volunteer Management – Recruit, Train and Retain Volunteers
  • Community Engagement – building collaborative and well connected relationships with internal and external stakeholders including community and corporate groups, the media and your colleagues acting in the same capacity across various locations throughout Australia
  • Reporting and other administrative tasks as dictated by the role
  • Attend House fundraising events and in-house functions
  • Ad-hoc support to the EO

 

THE EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will ideally be from the NFP sector or from a similar client facing role. Other essential skills and experience include:

  • Managerial and Leadership experience
  • Experience in a client facing role working with vulnerable individuals
  • High interpersonal skills including public speaking and ability to develop and maintain relationships across a broad range of stakeholders
  • Solid administrative skills, including basic financial reporting
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment juggling multiple tasks and issues
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, health, psychology or welfare would be highly desirable although not essential
  • A National Criminal Record Check and working With Children Check will be completed upon appointment.
