About the role
HR Business Partner – The Role
As HR Business Partner at World Animal Protection, you will lead the delivery of our comprehensive operational and strategic HR and OD service in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring our international initiatives and people strategy are aligned and integrated with World Animal Protection’s ambitious strategic goals to achieve lasting impact for animals worldwide.
You will partner with stakeholders across our Asia Pacific countries and provide strategic and tactical HR support to staff and managers. You will develop the country HR teams through coaching and knowledge sharing, and contribute towards the review of policies, practices and guidelines to further drive high-level organisational performance through best practice people management.
This key role has a broad remit, covering a range of generalist HR needs, from updating policies and procedures, to managing recruitment and on boarding. You will provide technical HR support on any complex issues, change initiatives and bespoke projects too.

HR Business Partner – Requirements
You must have experience of supporting an international organisation as an HR generalist and be accustomed to working in cross-cultural environments. You will have managed the delivery of people strategies to high standards and are able to drive the successful achievement of strategic goals.
Your expertise will cover areas such as change management, employee relations, reward as well as recruitment and selection. You will be used to delivering bespoke HR projects too. You must have strong knowledge of HR and employment law in Australia and New Zealand, and of HR legalities China, Thailand and India is desirable.
With strong project management and leadership skills, you will have the confidence and gravitas to communicate direction and to deliver effective coaching and guidance to managers in areas such as learning and development requirements, people issues and resource planning.
You will have a natural passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to the aims and values of World Animal Protection.
