About the role
Due to the pending retirement of the incumbent, we are seeking an experienced finance professional with a can do mindset for this challenging and rewarding position. You will have the opportunity to apply your outstanding finance management skills and experience in a changing financial landscape with an organisation making a real difference to people’s lives.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for the Company’s financial and infrastructure management, including building and monitoring operating and capital budgets, treasury management of reserve funds, financial risk management, financial reporting and compliance, government reporting, company secretary role, and the development of systems, policy and culture.
The successful applicant will ideally have;
• CPA or equivalent qualifications with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior finance
management position preferably in the not for profit sector including experience in company
secretary duties.
• Advanced knowledge of MYOB and Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Extensive experience in the development and implementation of strategic planning and
policy.
• Experience in the development and monitoring of budgets and knowledge of the financial
management of funded agencies.
• Knowledge and experience with achieving compliance with industry standards.
• Demonstrated success in advancing organisational objectives and championing important
issues with key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify emerging problems for the organisation and take proactive
steps to ensure risks are managed.
• General knowledge and awareness of contemporary human resource practice.
• Ability to communicate clear messages to inspire trust and confidence in others and the
ability to write succinct and lucid reports for various audiences including for the Board,
funding bodies and other key stakeholders.
