About the organisation
Look Good Feel Better is a free community service program dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance related side effects caused by cancer treatment. Our workshops are open to all women, men and teens who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or other forms of cancer treatment. In Australia, more than 130,000 people have participated in the program which now offers approximately 1,000 workshops in 180 venues nationwide. Each workshop participant receives a complimentary Confidence Kit and instruction guide, donated by the cosmetic industry.
About the role
We have a rare opportunity for a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated communications professional to join our team as PR & Communications Manager. Reporting to the National Manager, you will:
1. Assist in maximising the growth, uptake and impact of the Look Good Feel Better program across Australia through patient participation and the need for donations
2. Contribute to strengthening the Cancer Patients Foundation’s position as an integral part of cancer care
3. Lead and implement communications strategies by improving traditional and online media presence via a range of platforms and ensuring the key messages deliver on the charity’s core goals and corporate image
