About the role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible to develop and implement in conjunction with the staff team, effective centre and community programs for adults with intellectual disabilities consistent with the goals and policies of the company. Core duties include:

• Program and direct support activities
• Transport people with a disability to and from external program activities as required
• Administrative, indirect support activities and record keeping
• Write reviews and reports as required
• Supervise and support volunteers to ensure appropriate and effective involvement of participants

Skills & experience

• Certificate IV in Disability or its equivalent with significant industry experience
• Demonstrated confidence in working with complex people and behaviours
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement group and individual programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated effective communication with Participants, Parents and/or Caregivers
• Demonstrated ability to write reviews, reports and Support Plans
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and work in accordance to all relevant standards, legislation and regulations
• Full driver’s licence
