About the Role

The Quality Care Manager has an important role with significant responsibilities for developing, maintaining and overseeing our quality management systems, client safeguarding framework, complaints and incident management systems and internal audit functions. The Quality Care Manager also coordinates and directs our external service audits and plays a lead role in developing and reviewing key organisational policies.

Some key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Coordinating, monitoring, and reviewing LiveBetter’s Quality Management System incorporating quality objectives, policies, processes, and tools in consultation with Senior Managers.
  • Leading the development, monitoring and ongoing review of LiveBetter’s Client Safeguarding Framework.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and reviewing LiveBetter’s Incident Management Systems.
  • Actively monitoring critical and high risk incidents to ensure they are being effectively managed by the responsible managers.
  • Supporting the work of the Clinical Governance Committee through the provision of reports, compiling committee papers, and following up actions arising from Committee meetings.
  • Ensuring LiveBetter’s ongoing accreditation status with regulatory and compliance agencies by coordinating, directing, and monitoring external service audits and accreditations.
  • Coordinate and review the internal audit function in consultation with executive management and the Audit and Risk Committee.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Community Services, Health, Management or related field.
  • Qualifications or extensive experience in quality related principles and application.
  • In depth knowledge of quality management practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability and skill in providing quality management advice and direction across diverse, complex and service-based organisations.
  • Proven experience in complaint and incident analysis and investigation.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills with experience building effective relationships across Business Units.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer based software, systems and platforms.
  • Drivers Licence.

Desirable:

  • Quality management experience in the health or community services sector.
  • Knowledge of the service types provided by LiveBetter.
  • Experience with ISO9001.

You will also be required to:

  • Undertake and pass a National Criminal Check.
  • Undertake and pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening).
  • Undertake and pass a working with children check.
