About the role
The Instructional Designer/e-Learning Developer will work closely with the Learning and Development team to design and develop interactive, learner-centred programs and experiences which lead to improved performance and behavioural change.
The role will analyse, design, develop and implement a range of online learning solutions, such as e-Learning modules, resources and other digital assets to complement existing programs. The instructional designer will also have the opportunity to provide advice and support for building future e-learning capability at SSI.
Duties & Responsibilities
Use a performance consulting approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of learning and development needs within different business areas
Design, develop and implement interactive, learner-centred e-Learning and blended learning programs and experiences that lead to improved performance outcomes and behavioural change
Utilise contemporary instructional design theories, methodologies and adult learning best practice standards
Design, develop and facilitate webinars (synchronous and asynchronous) and virtual classroom programs using Citrix Go To products or other web-based tools and platforms
Develop supplementary learning assets and resources, such as storyboards, user guides and checklists
Advise and support L&D Team to procure suitable e-Learning authoring tools to complement existing tools
Coach and mentor L&D team, and other stakeholders as needed, to build their knowledge of other technology based platforms such as video, webinars and podcasts.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualifications in learning sciences and technology, education, adult learning, multimedia, or similar
Demonstrated ability to design and develop interactive, learner-centred e-learning modules and experiences
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including SMEs
Demonstrated experience in project management
Excellent writing and communication skills
Confident with HTML 5, WEB 2.0
Desirable:
Experience with Learning Management Systems
Experience with visual design and video production
Experience in coaching and developing others
