The Role
A newly created role, the Strategic Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications, marketing and public diplomacy strategy to support the achievement of RedR’s mission and vision. The role will lead a strategy to build vibrant networks of influence, establish connections with domestic and international stakeholders and ultimately enhance the visibility of RedR Australia.
The Strategic Communications Manager will lead strategic external communications activities, before, during, and after humanitarian emergencies and lead fundraising and awareness campaigns including appeals.

Reporting to the CEO, the Strategic Communications Manager, will lead a team to execute the communications strategy and outcomes.

Requirements for the role
• Tertiary qualification in Media, Journalism or Communications or similar discipline
• 10- 15+ years’ experience in similar role
• Experience in public diplomacy and government liaison
• Experience managing public affairs and brand management
• Exceptional communication stakeholder and communication skills
• Disaster / humanitarian / emergency sector experience is desirable
• Must be able to undertake travel interstate and internationally

The role attracts a salary range from $85,000 to $100,000 base per annum depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation with access to attractive salary packaging benefits and opportunities to support your ongoing professional development.
