- Salary Range $60,000 – $70,000 +Salary packaging
The Opportunity
At VACCA, Lakidjeka Aboriginal Child Specialist Advise Support Service (ACSASS) is committed to support and ensure the child protection system for Aboriginal children, young people and families is in line with protocols laid down.
A Lakidjeka ACSASS Caseworker advocates for fair and just treatment (the best interests) for Aboriginal children and young people in the child protection system.
This role will:
- Provide independent consultation advice to Child Protection on the best ways of keeping children and young people safe. This advice will include the importance of strong connection to Aboriginal culture, community and family.
- Work within a small locally based team and report to a Team Leader as well as being part of a larger state-wide ACSASS team.
- Liaise and develop a number of external relationships with Child Protection, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal services.
