About the role
The Sub-Branch is seeking expressions of interest from community members who wish to nominate for a position on our Management Committee. These positions will be formally appointed on the 14th September this year. The Committee plays a vital role in providing strategic direction, corporate governance, administrative support and stewardship to the Sub-Branch so that it can provide support for servicepersons and their families – past, present and future.
Previous committee experience is a bonus, but not required. Well-organised, ethical applicants with good communication skills and a desire to be part of this iconic community organisation are most welcome to apply!
Volunteer Management Committee positions of interest include (with key tasks noted):
Secretary and Deputy Secretary – maintain records of meeting agendas and minutes, manage Sub-Branch enquiries and general administration.
Treasurer – Record and monitor Sub-Branch expenditure, manage financial statements, issue receipts and invoices and conduct bank reconciliations.
Projects Coordinator – Support the running of Sub-Branch events including Remembrance Day fundraising and the annual ANZAC Day Commemorative Service.
Property & Inventory Coordinator – Maintain asset registers, coordinate hall maintenance and booking hire management.
Membership Officer – maintain the membership database, administer the Sub-Branch website, coordinate information resources to support member wellbeing and manage member communications.
Management Committee members are required to undertake management and administrative actions in accordance with the RSLWA constitution and by-laws. New members will be provided procedural guidance and full assistance to support them in their roles.
