About The Role

The Events Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for leading the engagement with the community where based and implementing the fundraising strategy to ensure a quality supporter experience, increased participation and higher retention, contributing to grow net income across the Events portfolio.

This position will focus on the higher value supporters, organisations and opportunities (20% of supporters who raise 80% of funds).

This position plays an important role in ensuring that all of Oxfam’s fundraising events positively and accurately reflect the work, values, and vision of Oxfam Australia.

 

A little about you (the key selection criteria)

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Experience in event-based, peer-to-peer & community fundraising practices, techniques and trends
  • Experience in implementing and evaluating fundraising strategies
  • Experience in customer service and relationship fundraising techniques
  • Experience in public speaking/presentations
  • Experience in event management preferably obtained in the community sector (desirable)
  • High levels of computer literacy particularly MS Office and experience working with marketing database software (familiarity with Raisers Edge highly regarded)
