About the role

EACH has been appointed as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Partner in the Community (PITC). As an Early Childhood Partner, EACH is the first point of contact for parents and carers who have a child 0 – 6 with developmental delay or disability, and will work with families to ensure they have access to appropriate supports quickly and easily.
EACH has a history of providing quality services for children with disabilities and developmental delays and delivering the ECEI Service in Ipswich, Queensland and across the ACT. We are now looking forward to working with families and communities in South-West Sydney (Liverpool, Bankstown, and Campbelltown) and Southern New South Wales (Goulburn and Bega) in partnership with NDIA.
About the Role:
As part of a multidisciplinary team this position supports families with children 0-6 years old with a development delay and/or disability who are exploring their eligibility for NDIS funding.
On an average day the role of an ECEI Coordinator will communicate with families, refer them to specialised services, and provide them with support and information on their options and NDIS. Assessment and screening of children to determine eligibility for NDIS, and preparing reports and submissions is also required.
About You:
Your background and qualifications may be in:
- Early Childhood Education
- Social Work
- Nursing
- Allied Health – Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy
- Music Therapy
Whatever your area of discipline, your experience working with children aged 0 -6 with developmental delays or disabilities and their families, will be essential.
To be successful in this role, and meet key performance indicators, you will be an astute communicator, enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team, and have excellent time management and follow through. An understanding of NDIS and relevant legislation and processes to protect children from risk will be beneficial.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification or significant experience working within the early childhood sector
- Working with Children Check
- Australian driver’s licence and ability to use your own vehicle ro travel through the large geographical catchment area to deliver services (Kilometre reimbursement provided)
- Working With Vulnerable Person Check (NSW)
- Police Check
- Successful completion of NDIS Orientation upon start.
