About the role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Major Giving Coordinator to join our Development team at RSPCA Victoria, Burwood East.
The Major Giving Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Major Giving Manager in cultivating, stewarding and championing RSPCA Victoria’s Major Giving, Grants, Trusts and Foundations, donor events and suite of Membership portfolios to raise income and support for RSPCA Victoria, and enable the organisation to achieve its vision of ending cruelty to all animals.
Our position as the leading animal welfare organisation in Victoria is dependent on future growth and revenue generation. Therefore, this role plays a critical role in our organisation’s journey to ending cruelty to all animals.
Roles, duties and responsibilities
Performing a key role in our Development team, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the Major Giving Manager in developing RSPCA Victoria’s Major Donor portfolios.
- The coordination, administration and development of the suite of Membership Programs of RSPCA Victoria.
- Developing and implementing the Grants, Trusts & Foundations portfolio in conjunction with the Major Giving Manager, with strong administration and attention to detail.
- Coordinating the timely delivery of information required for the annual report and Annual General Meeting, and other meetings as required.
- Working collaboratively across the organisation to prepare and collate strategic planning, submissions, acquittal reports and associated correspondence.
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment by effectively communicating and working collaboratively with peers across all departments, and consistently behaving in accordance with the RSPCA Victoria values and associated policies.
- Taking reasonable care for the safety of oneself and others, whilst contributing to safe work practices at RSPCA Victoria by knowing and complying with all WH&S policies and procedures.
Skills and experience required
Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong organisation and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task and coordinate various deliverables.
- Sound understanding of fundraising legislation, practices, and philosophies of charitable giving.
- High level literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, fundraising CRM systems, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment, with often competing tasks and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Understanding of CRM database management and data driven marketing best practice
- The desire to thrive in a fast paced work environment through power house administration, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task
