Bravery Trust (https://braverytrust.org.au/) was created in 2012 to address a critical gap – Bravery Trust changes the lives of serving members of the Australian Defence Force, veterans and their families, ensuring that they do not suffer as a consequence of their service and that they are provided with immediate support and assistance in their time of need. The Trust provides assistance nationally, and works collaboratively with the Department of Defence, the Department of Veteran Affairs and other providers.
About the role

This newly created position could be the perfect career opportunity for a team player who thrives in a small team environment; ideally with FIA or CFRE credentials. Reporting to the CEO, you will implement and deliver the organisation’s strategic Fundraising Plan, guided by targets for income growth. Engaging with donors, partners and supporters, you will drive fundraising to enable the Trust to achieve its philanthropic goals. In a role with variety, you will grow the website and digital presence, plan a major annual event, and drive the major donor program.
You will bring demonstrated fundraising and partnerships experience, along with a dynamic approach to developing and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns. Sound knowledge and experience in major gifts fundraising will be highly-valued, as will strong organisational skills and management ability. Fundamental to this role’s success will be an empathy for the physical and emotional impacts that service can have on families, together with an understanding of the opportunities for hope, empowerment and growth.
