About the organisation
The Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria Inc. (ECCV) is the voice of multicultural Victoria. It is a community based, member driven peak advocacy body for ethnic and multicultural organisations committed to empowering people from diverse multicultural backgrounds.
Our purpose is to help build a culturally diverse and cohesive society that is just, fair, and inclusive with specific reference to the needs and aspirations of Victorians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
About the role
An exciting management opportunity exists for a suitably qualified professional to be employed as ECCV’s Projects Leader. The position is required to work with a team of staff to develop and deliver contracts that advocate for culturally diverse communities, build sector capacity and provide multicultural leadership for wider Victoria. The position is currently offered as part-time until June 2020 but there are genuine options to extend and grow the role going forward.
Key requirements for the position include staff development and support, contract reporting and acquittal, stakeholder engagement and consultation, and contributing to the pursuit of new business. In this role you will work closely with project staff, the management team and the Executive Officer to achieve outstanding outcomes for ECCV. The position requires demonstrated experience in project management, staff supervision and business development.
