About the role

The Role

The Community Impact Specialist is at the heart of driving the Thunder’s purpose to be a loved Club that unites and inspires the Thunder Nation.

With engagement stretching across Western Sydney, ACT, regional NSW and overseas, Sydney Thunder exists to give back to the community both locally and abroad with programs such as the HomeWorld Thunder Nation Cup, Literacy and Leadership Programs, OzHarvest Meal Drive and the Barnados Gift For Kids.

About You

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in community engagement, charitable or not for profit environment
  • Experience working with different cultural communities and varied stakeholders
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Ability to work extended hours in season
  • Ability to perform manual tasks
  • Strong communicator
  • Structured thinker
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
