About the role

This vacancy is one of two Maternal Child Health Leader positions, working in the Families Youth and Children department within the Community Division of the City of Darebin.

 
What you will be doing:

You will lead, support and develop our committed Maternal Child Health team to respond to the opportunities and challenges of contemporary Maternal Child Health practice and service provision.

The Maternal Child Health Leaders work in partnership to implement the City of Darebin Early Years Plan and the Department of Health and Human Services funding guidelines. 

You will be based predominately in Northcote and Reservoir and will be required to travel within the Darebin community. You will be working 32 hours per week.

To be successful you will have:

  • a tertiary qualification in Division 1 Registered nurse, State registered Mid Wife and Maternal and Child Health qualification.
  • a commitment to addressing the health and environmental needs of vulnerable families.
  • a flexible approach to service planning and delivery with a focus on innovation and positive outcomes.
  • advanced clinical mentoring capacity.
  • an ability to motivate a team and build collaborative relationships.
  • sound planning and implementation practices.
