The Role
The St Kilda IAP Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating Launch Housing’s initial assessment and referral services in the St Kilda and surrounding areas of Melbourne. This includes the Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) service at St Kilda, the Prioritization List Team, the IAP Outpost at Thorn Harbour and the Launch Housing Options Worker (HOW). The St Kilda IAP Coordinator is an integral part of the Getting Housing portfolio at Launch Housing and works closely with the Northern & Cheltenham IAP Coordinators, the Manager – Entry Points and the Program Manager – IAP to ensure a consistent and high-quality assessment & planning service.
Essential to the success of the position is the ability to provide leadership and direction, to hold the client at the centre of how services are delivered and promote and drive high performance within the team. The ability to develop, design and implement innovative new programs, partner with key stakeholders, including the Launch leadership teams, adhere to the related legislation, regulations, policies and procedures and foster a culture of continuous improvement are key to the success of this position.
About You
The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in human services or social work with program or service coordination/ management experience within the community and/or public sectors. They will have a demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems, a collaborative way of working, leadership ability including coordinating staff who work with people with complex needs and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
