As part of our Paediatric team at Ringwood, EACH is looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide support for children with complex needs, making a huge difference to the lives of young people and their families.

If you enjoy working with children wi thin the context of their families and are able to deliver best practice occupational therapy interventions that will support a child’s development and allow them to thrive, we have the perfect part-time opportunity for you. Working 3 days a week, based at our Ringwood East site you will use your skills in all areas of OT, including fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, play, and social skills and self-care skills to provide individual and group planned care.

What you’ll be doing
You will have excellent time management skills, a fine eye for detail and be confident working within a brief intervention model. Your experience with children and their families from CALD background will assist you to be trauma-informed, culturally aware and able to deliver child safe practice. You will be able to provide a mix of individual and group-based interventions and see up to 5 clients per day. You will also be confident in providing outreach servic es as required.

Who you’ll be working with
A typical day would include collaboration within a friendly team with supportive management and positive culture. Working with other professionals at Narre Warren, our team is dedicated to giving clients the best possible support. The position is funded by the Community Health Program, integrated within a paediatric team comprising speech pathology and dietetics and occupational therapy supported by an allied health assistant. The team is integrated with broader child and family services.
