Northern Territory Correctional Services (NTCS) plays an important role in keeping our communities safe by reducing criminal offending through the rehabilitation of offenders.

NTCS is seeking to fill the role of General Manager, Alice Springs Correctional Facility. The General Manager provides strategic leadership, direction and management of the Alice Springs Facilities which is a multi-disciplinary centre of over 640 prisoners, 196 employees and $34 million budget.

NTCS is looking for an exceptional leader with a proven track record and experience in correctional services demonstrating a capacity and capability to lead and manage an operationally complex and culturally sensitive environment.  With a program of reform about to commence NTCS offers a dynamic leader an opportunity to shape the operations of the Alice Springs Correctional Facility and work with the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and other senior leaders to implement the reform. The reform will have a strong focus on tackling the causal factors associated with the high levels of Aboriginal offending.
