This is an exciting to join into a management role at Launch Housing. The Education First Youth Foyer Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the Education First Youth Foyer (EFYF) located in Broadmeadows. The EFYF provide integrated learning and student accommodation in mainstream educational settings for young people aged 16-24 years, who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Using an advantaged thinking approach, they are designed for young people who have the ambition and motivation to engage in education and training but have been unable to do so due to a range of structural, institutional and personal barriers. This role will report to the Manager, Youth Transitions and will oversee the activities of all staff at the Youth Foyer ensuring that all areas of service are able to deliver outcomes in accordance with funding requirements and targets.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a leader who provides direction to your team, ensuring that all services are provided at a high-quality standard and that all Launch Housing procedures and practices are followed. You are required to have previous experience working in management within the community and/or public sectors. You will also have demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems and the ability to contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions to work towards effective client outcomes.
