Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV) is a statewide resource centre and registered training organisation working across prevention of and response to family violence and violence against women, providing:
- Training courses, forums, events and workshops
- Resources for professionals, victims, friends and family
- Family violence websites and online resources
- Advocacy and policy advice
- Information and referrals
DVRCV and Domestic Violence Victoria (DV Vic) have agreed to merge under the umbrella of DV Vic. DV Vic is the peak body for specialist family violence response services for victim survivors in Victoria.
This role will be employed by DV Vic and initially based at DVRCV during the merge transition period.

Sector Development Advisor
THE ROLE
Recommendation 209 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence recommended the introduction of mandatory minimum qualifications for the specialist family violence workforce employed in a Victorian Government-funded service.
This role will be responsible for project planning, including conducting a sector needs analysis, and providing advice and support to the family violence sector on the implementation of mandatory minimum qualifications for the specialist family violence workforce, in line with Victorian government policy.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL HAVE:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. public policy, community development, social work, law) or equivalent experience in the public or community sector
- Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with individuals and groups
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation, consultation and meeting facilitation skills
- Ability to manage time independently, prioritise and manage competing demands, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Well-developed problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework and its application in understanding pathways within and across occupations and education and training sectors (desirable)
- A comprehensive understanding of intersectional feminism and the determinants, dynamics and impact of family violence (desirable)
- Experience in specialist family violence service delivery (desirable)
- Experience in a peak body setting (desirable)
- Knowledge of Victorian and federal policy and law informing responses to family violence, in particular the reforms emerging from the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence (desirable)
