About the organisation
The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is the body responsible for intensive care medicine specialist training and education in Australia and New Zealand. The College provides a training program of high quality, supervision in practical aspects of training, administration of the written and clinical examinations and workshops.
This is a key leadership role for the College. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the purpose of this position is to provide leadership, strategic and operational direction for the corporate services portfolio. This includes core functions such as finance, people and culture, safety, risk management, property and commercial management and elements of College governance.
The College has recently endorsed a new strategic plan and supporting digital strategy which sets out an ambitious transformation agenda over the coming years requiring maturing of College operations and strategic leadership to the corporate services functions that are key to effective progress across al parts of the College.
This role gives an experienced leader the opportunity to build an effective, supportive and strategic corporate services function that will enable the College to evolve for the future, and to increase the impact of the college through high quality services for our members and strong relationships and impact with our stakeholders and community.

Employment Status: Part time flexible arrangement 0.6 – 0.9 FTE
Reports to: Julia Harper, CEO
You provide leadership, strategic and operational direction to corporate governance including finance, people and culture, risk and commercial functions.
Job Purpose:
- Create, evolve and mature CICM systems and processes to ensure efficient and sustainable delivery of College activities and strategic goals
- Manage the corporate services of finance, people and culture, property and commercial, risk management and aspects of governance of CICM to ensure they are run efficiently and effectively
CA or CPA qualified, your corporate services expertise has been acquired in a highly regulated, values driven environment of process improvement and productivity enhancement.
