About the College
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a member-based organisation whose principal role is the training, assessment and professional development of emergency doctors for Australia and New Zealand.

About the role
The Position
Reporting directly to the ACEM Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the incumbent is a member of the College Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Working closely with the CEO and other members of the ELT, the primary purposes of the role are to:
- Oversee the strategic development and implementation of the policy, research and advocacy initiatives identified through the ACEM strategic and business plans; and
- Provide high-level management and leadership to enable effective and efficient operation of the range of functions and activities associated with the Department of Policy, Research and Partnerships.

The successful incumbent will be a collaborative leader – harnessing talent, driving engagement and fostering a high-performance culture. Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams dealing with complex issues, as well outstanding stakeholder engagement skills are essential requirements, underpinned by an appreciation of how to successfully deliver outcomes for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
