About the role
Reporting to the Manager Education and Inclusion within our Communication and Engagement Branch, this is a fantastic opportunity where you will manage the day-to-day operations of our Education and Inclusion team.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for supporting, coaching, and developing a team of five Community Engagement Specialists and a pool of casual Democracy Ambassadors, who are responsible for providing education and innovative engagement strategies to those traditionally under-represented in Victoria’s State and local council elections. This includes people with disabilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, First Nations People, people with unstable housing or in prison and young people.
You will be responsible for ensuring our service levels and reporting targets are met, workflow processes and workload for team members are managed and actioned within agreed timelines. Your passion for leading people combined with a strong commitment to community engagement will drive successful team performance and ensure electoral engagement strategies are successfully planned, implemented, monitored and evaluated.
To be successful in the role, you will be a strong people leader ideally with experience in a community service setting. Your exceptional communication and relationship management abilities will support team members to be inspired and creative in developing effective and impactful voter engagement programs. You will have proven people management, coaching and team development capabilities, paired with a passion for innovation and excellence in community engagement.
