About the organisation
Holy Family Services is a dedicated aged care, childcare, education and retirement living provider for people in Western Sydney. We are a ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, established by the Sisters upon their arrival in Australia more that 65 years ago.
Based in Marayong, Holy Family Services has grown to offer services in line with its mission to support family life and values. Those services include a 146-bed residential Aged Care facility offering high-level and personal care, Retirement Living comprising 28 cottages for retirees over 55, a Long Day Care and Preschool catering for 39 places and a Registered Training Organisation providing nationally recognised courses which meet the training needs of the aged care industry.
The organisation is governed by a Board of volunteer, Non-Executive Directors, whose responsibility is to oversight of the mission, operations and management of the organisation.
About the role
We are seeking two (2) Non-Executive Directors to join our Board, with executive level experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Strategic planning and implementation (possibly knowledgeable with mergers and acquisitions)
- Expertise of working with the larger facilities (possibly knowledgeable with mergers and acquisitions)
- Clinical Governance expertise (in the Aged Care sector)
- Childcare industry management
In addition to the above, key to the role will be your knowledge or understanding of governance principles, including a Board director’s legal, ethical, fiduciary and financial responsibilities.
Just as important is your ability to read and comprehend a company’s accounts and understanding of corporate finance, including financial reporting requirements.
