About the role
St Anthony’s Family Care (SAFC) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting children and young adults of all abilities to achieve their hopes and dreams and lead fulfilling lives.
St Anthony’s has just completed a significant site re-development and endorsed a new Strategic Plan to assist the organisation to move into the next chapter of its operation.
The organisation is presently seeking up to three people to join its Board to complement existing Directors as they move forward on this new journey.
Interested individuals must be able to demonstrate the following:
- An understanding of the legal, ethical and fiduciary responsibilities of the role
- Experience and expertise in strategic planning, policy development and risk management
- A commitment to the ethos of the Sisters and to people who are disadvantaged.
Applicants with skills in any of the areas below will have an advantage:
- Personal experience of disability
- Marketing and/or Fundraising
- Digital communication and Social Media
- Finance & Legal
- Understanding/experience of care or working in disability and/or community service systems
Applicants will be required to undertake a Working with Children Check, NDIS workers check and a National Criminal History Check.
The Board meets in person ten times per annum onsite in Croydon. In addition, participate in sub-committees is required plus attendance at a number of events.
