At the South Australian Road Runners Club (SARRC) it is our vision that everyone has the opportunity to run. We are inclusive and committed to welcoming you. SARRC was originally established in 1980 for people interested in running the Adelaide Marathon. The Adelaide Marathon is still our flagship event and is going strong after 40 years. We have grown from a local running group to the largest running group in South Australia. We are a not-for-profit, member-based organisation.
About the role
Position 1 – Administration / Office Support
- Required to work in SARRC office (city location) one day per week, Wednesdays preferred – additional hours may be available in leadup to events.
- General administrative and customer service duties – responding to member and public emails and phone calls, updating event registrations, volunteer coordination prior to events, various duties to assist with event planning and preparation.
Position 2 – Marketing / Social Media
- Required to work approx 8 hours per week, location and times flexible.
- Responsible for coordinating promotion of SARRC events, activities and membership.
- Must have experience in managing marketing and social media, preferably for a member-based community/sporting organisation.
For both roles, preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in running, running groups or similar sporting and recreation organisations.
Roles can be combined for a suitable applicant with the relevant skills and experience to fulfil all duties.
