The Board
The role of the Board is to provide strategic guidance and direction for MFYS as well as oversee effective governance, financial and risk management for the organisation. The Board is the custodian of the organisation’s vision and mission and exercises stewardship over its funding arrangements to ensure continued provision of services to the community over the long-term.
The Board meets monthly (with the exception of December and January). It is expected that Board members will also sit as a members of Board Sub-Committees, as appropriate.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for at least two Board members to join our experienced and dedicated Board with a particular focus on candidates with sector experience and/or fundraising/marketing skills.
At least one position has been designated as requiring an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person for the role.
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in senior leadership, ideally within the not for profit sector.
Desirable Skills/Experience
· Accounting/fundraising/marketing
· Commercial background in the NFP sector
· Board experience
· An understanding of Risk Management
· An understanding of the Community Services sector
Other requirements
· Applicable screening and security clearances will be required
