ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Inclusion and Accessibility Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation and delivery of the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA)’s inclusion and accessibility initiatives. These initiatives support VFA’s commitment to equality of opportunity for all with both a focus on our workforce and our stakeholders. The VFA is committed to increasing the number and diversity of people fishing and boating. This role will be key to delivering the VFA’s Accessibility Action Plan including coordinating the development of an implementation plan.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience of disability: Personal, lived experience as a person with disability or indirect experience of disability and an understanding of disability issues for others living in the community.
- Accessibility & Universal Design principles: Demonstrate an understanding of accessible, inclusive and/or universal design principles.
- Organisation skills: Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines
- Communication Skills: Experience preparing concise reports, presentations, briefs and/or correspondence in a Government setting. Identify, coordinate, and produce reporting and written communication which supports effective decision-making by Senior Executives and Government.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Demonstrated ability to liaise in a professional manner with a diverse stakeholder group including senior management, external and internal stakeholders
- Planning: Experience in the preparation of project plans, agendas, minutes, reports, briefs, meeting documentation and presentations
