About the organisation
The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. (also known as Foundation House)is not-for-profit organisation providing services to advance the health, wellbeing and human rights of people of refugee backgrounds in Victoria who have experienced torture or other traumatic events in their country of origin or while fleeing those countries. The organisation was established in Melbourne in 1987 and is non-denominational, politically neutral and non-aligned. Foundation House is a state-wide agency offering services in metropolitan, regional and rural areas, with head office based in Brunswick. We have approximately 200 staff with metropolitan regional offices in Dallas, Sunshine, Dandenong and Ringwood.
About the role
We have an ongoing part time (1 day per week) position available in our Ringwood office and a casual position working across both our Dandenong and Ringwood Offices.
About you
To be successful in this role you;
- Have outstanding organisational skills with the ability manage multiple tasks as well as your time
- Are an excellent communicator – both verbal and written, with great interpersonal skills
- Have intermediate to high level Computer skills including MS office suite, and data entry/database skills
- Have the ability to work with people from a CALD background
- People who speak Karen or Chin will be highly regarded for the position in Ringwood, and Tamil and Dari for our casual position in Dandenong
Salary and benefits
Remuneration for the ongoing position is based on our Enterprise Agreement 2014 of $71,373 gross salary per annum (pro rata), plus 17.5% leave loading and 10% superannuation. Additional benefits include salary packaging up to $18,550, a highly supportive team environment, excellent training and development opportunities.
The casual position will be paid at an hourly rate of $37.54 inclusive of 25% loading.
