About the organisation
Heathcote Health (HH) is a small rural health service based in the Loddon Mallee region located some 30-40 minutes from Bendigo. The service operates, or facilitates, the provision of a number of services including: 24-hour Urgent Care Centre; 8 bed acute care service; 2 transitional care places (bed based and community); 12 bed residential high care nursing home; and 30 bed residential low care hostel (including one respite bed). In addition, Heathcote Health supports a co-located GP Clinic known as Heathcote Primary Health, pathology service and radiology service. They are currently seeking an experienced executive for this senior leadership role.
About the role
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will advocate and advance an integrated health care service model embracing acute, aged and community care, primary care and prevention by working closely with relevant stakeholders including government agencies, clinicians, primary health care providers and the local community. You will also be expected to provide leadership to implement innovative service models, taking into account population health and the Board’s belief that community health is best achieved through education, prevention strategies and wellness services. The CEO will also undertake the role of Chief Finance and Accounting Officer (CFAO) for Heathcote Health.
To be considered for this role, you will be a proven executive with a track record of success in the leadership of a complex organisation, achieving key performance indicators and budget targets. You will also hold at least tertiary level accounting qualifications and membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), CPA Australia, National Institute of Accountants (NIA), or equivalent as well as membership with a relevant professional association and have extensive knowledge of current trends affecting public sector health in Victoria and Australia. High level relationship management skills and an excellent understanding of clinical governance and risk management are also mandatory requirements for the role.
