Greatest Good is a digital platform connecting conscious consumers with for-purpose organisations for the greatest good. We are a social enterprise.
Greatest Good is a directory, community and marketplace that helps conscious consumers to find, engage and transact with for-purpose organisations.
That means we connect consumers with social enterprises, charities, community groups, co-ops, other not for profits, and B Corps who are aligned with their values.
They choose the value areas that are important to them and we show them the for-purpose organisations who meet their values. From there, they decide how they want to engage with and support them! They can shop, donate and attend courses and events, There are also opportunities for working, volunteering and collaborating. It's a one-stop platform for consumers and for-purpose organisations alike.
We are a team of 9 including an advisory board.
About the role
This is a part time role of 2-4 days per week, job sharing with another part time Community Manager. We are able to provide some flexibility with days and hours, so please indicate your preferred working days/hours when applying. The role will require a combination of remote and on-site work (Bayside Melbourne).
You will be increasing the awareness of the social enterprise, its digital platform and service offering. This includes being responsible for establishing and maintaining long term purposeful relationships with for-purpose organisations (social enterprises, charities and other not-for-profits, B-Corps) and the community.
You will also assist with our social media to generate brand awareness and other communication in line with our communication and marketing strategy. You will assist organisations to connect to and engage with the digital platform and assist with on-boarding and ongoing support as required.
Consistent with working for a start-up, you will have lots of variety and get involved in a range of set up projects and ongoing tasks.
We are seeking a self-starter who has e-commerce experience (digital platforms and marketplaces) as well as working for, or with, for-purpose organisations who is willing to be at the forefront of representing the organisation.
Personal criteria
- A passion for social purpose, social impact and using social enterprise to achieve those goals
- Strong emotional intelligence and collaboration skills to deal with and influence all types of personalities, in a respectful and professional way, as well as a high level of self-awareness
- Comfortable being a key member of the team helping to build the organisation from the ground up
- Proactive, flexible and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
- Able to work independently
- Team player, willing to roll up sleeves and get involved
- Strong written/verbal interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong level of attention to detail
- Motivated and organised with great time management skills
Experience sought
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role, with established networks and experience working for/with the for-purpose sector
- E-commerce experience working on digital platforms and marketplaces
- Experience in stakeholder and community engagement
- Experience with CRM or similar database environment
- Excellent relationship management
- Content creation across website and social media platforms, as well as newsletters
