Every day, Cancer Council SA supports families affected by cancer when they need it most, speaks out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empowers people to reduce their cancer risk, and finds new ways to better detect and treat cancer. Following an organisation redesign, Cancer Council SA are seeking four dynamic, collaborative and contemporary leaders with a commercial mindset and community heart to join their Executive and strategically support the organisation’s new, exciting, bold journey of contemporary change to deliver even greater outcomes for every South Australian impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the General Manager People, Safety and Culture will utilise their strategic leadership and innovative future focused approach to ensure Cancer Council SA maintains a safe environment for all. This is your opportunity to draw upon your entrepreneurial approach to develop and deliver strategies that will attract and engage employees to work for the organisation while developing and building a high performance, values driven culture with a strong focus on safety and wellbeing that supports all staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors.

To be considered for this exciting and impactful opportunity, we are seeking applications from contemporary, future focused commercially astute leaders with strong business and analytical skills who demonstrate a customer first attitude and strong values alignment to Cancer Council SA. With demonstrable experience developing and delivering an organisation’s People, Culture and Safety strategy and driving a values-based workforce, you are also known for your ability to drive and lead change in a collaborative and empowering manner. You bring highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly form credible and respectful relationships with both your internal and external stakeholder groups and you are known for your ability to lead and empower multi-disciplinary staff (direct reports and organisationally), fostering a positive, motivated and high performing workplace culture. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline, or relevant demonstrated experience is expected.
