The purpose of this position is to provide professional expertise and skills in research and evaluation project management; this will include research design, data collection and analysis, and the ability to translate the results of research and outcomes of evaluation activities.
About the role
Under the supervision of the Manager, Research, Evaluation and Policy, the Senior Research and Evaluation Officer is responsible for:
- Designing and undertaking research projects using appropriate scientific methods that influence and inform RACR’s strategic directions and objectives and support practice staff to acquire and understand up to date peer-reviewed evidence.
- Maintaining and building collaborative research partnerships and activities, with other organisations including RA National Research Network and academic institutions.
- Ensuring all RACR research projects and partnerships meet relevant Australian and international research Codes and Standards.
- Leading the ongoing development, implementation and review of the RACR evaluation framework to enhance program accountability and continuous improvement, using a strongly collaborative approach with internal stakeholders.
What you’ll need to succeed
- PhD in social or behavioural sciences, health sciences or other relevant discipline with a strong applied research component.
- Expertise in research methods, with demonstrated understanding of data privacy and security issues.
- High level expertise and experience in the development and implementation of program evaluation and research projects that can be applied in a community service setting.
- Demonstrated high level quantitative research and data analysis skills to influence practice innovation within a complex environment.
