About the organisation
Community Housing Limited (CHL) Group of Companies is an innovative and best practice affordable housing organisation which assists access to, develops and manages sustainable housing for people in need. As our Victorian operations expand, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to become our Engagement Officer. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will be a key liaison point, responsible for managing communication and engagement of stakeholders across the Public Housing Renewal Project.
About the role
Your experience in building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with a range of stakeholders will enable you to excel in this role. Your engagement will focus will be on appropriate housing for people with disabilities under the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) model.
You will
- Manage stakeholders and communication across SDA projects
- Coordinate SDA project marketing, including working with stakeholders on broad promotional strategies
- Produce specific marketing projects to attract customers and reduce occupancy and vacancy risk
- Work with CHL Housing teams to ensure appropriate entry process for tenants with disabilities, including development of onboarding project plans and involvement of SIL support staff
- Work with the Learning & Development team to develop, coordinate and deliver staff training modules in relation to SDA and working with SIL providers
- Liaise with the Project Services team in relation to SDA policy and program development and lessons learned upon project completion
- Establish the CHL-SIL Provider “Community of Practice”
What will success look like?
You will have demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, including working in partnership with a range of stakeholders to achieve deliverables and quality outcomes for clients. In addition, you will excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences. You will also have:
- Strong and effective decision-making skills, with a client and advocacy focus
- The relevant sector knowledge to identify and mitigate risks
- An understanding of RTA and SDA requirements is not essential but would be an advantage
- The ability to work independently as part of a broader team within a fast-paced environment
- A current drivers license and the ability to travel
- A commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing.
