The Fundraising and Partnerships team

The SVA Fundraising and Partnerships team is working on a transformational strategy to increase fundraising income, so that SVA can continue to deliver impact at scale for the people and communities of Australia. Consequently, we have a Fundraising and Partnerships team that likewise strives to be innovative and inspirational in its approach to fundraising.
SVA Fundraising and Partnerships targets major and significant gifts from trusts and foundations, individuals/families and corporations.
  
The position
 
The Head of Engagement and Corporate Partnerships is a key role within the Fundraising and Partnerships team. It is responsible for securing revenue through partnerships with the corporate sector and for the strategic development and oversight of an ambitious program of hybrid events. This role will bring the work of SVA to life and create a unique experience for current and prospective SVA supporters, significantly contributing to retaining and building revenue that supports the work of SVA.
The position operates in three key areas:

  • Corporate Partnerships
  • Engagement, and

Who you are

You will:

  • Bring well established networks, wide industry experience and highly developed negotiation skills
  • Have strong current knowledge of sponsorship best practice, specifically in relation to developing integrated and strategic partnerships that deliver revenue
  • Demonstrate experience in an end-to-end sponsorship and/or fundraising role with a proven track record in achieving sponsorship/fundraising targets.
  • Be proud of your record of managing successful and innovative fundraising programs at a cultural, academic, or not-for-profit organisation
  • Have the passion and commitment in working to further SVA’s purpose to contribute to an Australia where all people and communities thrive
  • Bring experience managing relationships, influencing, and negotiating with senior stakeholders including C-suite, high-net wealth individuals and social sector leaders
  • Be known for your very strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to successfully engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
