The Opportunity

The Partnership and Localisation Lead is a newly created role within a whole new department at Caritas Australia. As an organisation, we have made a significant investment in this role to help build the capacity of our local partners and leaders.
More about the role
Working in the newly established Impact Department, the Partnership and Localisation Lead will design and implement systems to measure the quality of partnerships across Caritas Australia, whilst building organisational capacity in relation to partnership, accompaniment and localisation. Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Providing technical advice into the design of broader Caritas Australia frameworks, policies, guidance and tools from a partnership, accompaniment and localisation lens.
- Leading or supporting research initiatives related to partnership, accompaniment and localisation, and embedding emerging innovations into Caritas Australia practice.
- Representing Caritas Australia on inter-agency and sector working groups relevant to partnership, accompaniment and localisation.
About you
For this role, we are seeking a collaborative and influential individual, with a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in a Humanitarian, Development or closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience driving effective partnerships preferably within an International NGO, Aid Agency or other Development organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and measuring the impact of transformative partnerships aligned with the global localisation agenda.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant governments policies, strategies, programs and priorities related to partnership, accompaniment and localisation
- Experience in designing & facilitating training for staff and partners using participatory methodologies
