About the role
What is Sport NSW looking for in their Chief Executive Officer?
A dynamic & motivated leader with the ability to engage and develop lasting, positive relationships with a diverse range of member organisations and other key stakeholders. Working closely with the Board, can create a clear vision and strategic direction that effectively engages and delivers services to all its members.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognition of members as the primary customer, and an unwavering commitment to provide meaningful, targeted and relevant services
- An ability to lead and provide leadership to multiple stakeholders
- An understanding of the workings and demands of a sport and/or membership-based organisation
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the experience to be a respected spokesperson and relationship builder
- An understanding or ability to lead a peak sporting body which operates within a strategic membership support framework
- Creative, with an ability to encourage innovation and to champion new initiatives
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Experience in working within a sporting organisation is desirable
