Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) serves 38 schools and colleges encompassing 16,500 students and their families across Tasmania. Our schools and colleges offer early learning, kindergarten, primary school, high school and senior secondary education, offering students from all backgrounds a quality education enriched by the Catholic faith. Supported by 4 administrative offices statewide, CET employs over 2,200 staff statewide.

About the role

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director: System Services, the Director: People Services is a key leadership role responsible for driving key people-related and operational activities as well as CET’s strategic plan and other initiatives which enhance CET’s service offering.

You will work collaboratively with CET Directors to identify, develop and implement key organisational culture, engagement and change initiatives and strategies. You will personally model a culture among staff that is open to coaching and change, and one that supports continuous improvement, respect and accountability.

You will lead the employment relations function, including industrial relations, enterprise bargaining, and managing complaints and investigations.

You will develop improved approaches to recruitment to ensure CET attracts the best talent, ensuring our schools have the right people to lead our Catholic communities across CET.
