Organisation Name : The Good Box

The Good Box is a charity and social enterprise that provides boxes filled with essential items for those experiencing homelessness. We also facilitate homelessness education programs for schools and businesses. Each box also contains a handwritten note to facilitate communication and instil dignity for those experiencing homelessness. Receiving a Good Box can significantly improve someone’s day and give them the strength to persevere through some tough nights.

About the role

Are you outgoing, creative and organised? Do you have a passion for helping those in need? Then this might just be the job for you! We are looking for someone part time to work closely with the marketing manager to ensure all marketing materials are prepared and sent out as needed. The role also entails facilitating meetings with partners and donors, as well as organising philanthropy and fundraising events and campaigns. You will be part of the creation of all marketing campaigns as well as assisting in management of all sponsorship and philanthropic partners. 

We are looking for someone to commence this role in Feb 2023 with some training in Dec 2022. This is a part time position in Melbourne (Hybrid – work from home and from the shared work space in Richmond). You may also need to attend our warehouse in Templestowe from time to time.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting in implementing marketing campaigns (including coming up with ideas, creation and overseeing the campaign)
  • Social media (content and imagery), newsletters, edms (Instagram, Mailchimp, Linkedin, Facebook, Tiktok, etc)
  • You will liaise with the rest of the marketing team and ensure everyone is delivering their projects on time and to a high standard. You will then report to the marketing manager. 
  • Liaise with partners and sponsors. This involves creating and maintaining valuable relationships with partners (such as Modibodi, Big W etc)
  • Work closely with social media influencers
  • Create impact reports
  • Approaching organisations and potential sponsors to raise funds and gather donations
  • Attending meetings with partners and networking events
  • Assisting with fundraising/media opportunities/ public relations 
  • Assist with general responsibilities within the organisation (events, misc tasks)

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be organised and punctual. 
  • Be flexible and agile.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about helping the community. 
  • Be available Part Time (Monday – Friday) from February 2023 onwards. (Exact days and hours can be worked out prior to commencing the position)
  • Have full working rights in Australia. 
  • Preferably have 1-2 years marketing/partnerships/fundraising experience.
  • Ideally have experience in Mailchimp, Hubspot and Canva (with some fantastic design skills!)
