About the opportunity

The Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPRR) Program is a new innovative approach to delivering intensive, evidence-based and sustainable intervention support to vulnerable children and families in partnership with Child Protection. The response will build upon existing child and family services within the broader system and aims to prevent at risk children and young people from entering or re-entering care. The program will also support children and young people currently in care to safely reunify with their families where possible.

As a FPRR Practitioner, you will provide intensive wraparound case management services to vulnerable families who present with complex needs. The role will deliver assertive outreach, undertake risk assessments, participate in care team planning and develop creative interventions to engage hard-to-reach families. Working as part of collaborative care team, the Practitioner will assist families to address the safety and developmental needs of children and young people, and support parents to enhance their resilience and self-determination.
