About the organisation
Euroa Health Inc is a community owned, not-for-profit organisation situated close to the regional centres of Benalla, Seymour and Shepparton and around two hours from Melbourne. Euroa Health is an integrated rural health service, comprising a 24-bed acute hospital with 2 urgent care cubicles, a new stand-alone 10 bed Memory Support Unit to be opened in coming months will bring the total residential aged care facility to 85 beds, and a broad range of community and allied health services. The organisation is currently planning for a range of further development projects and is seeking a high calibre health executive to help guide and lead the organisation through this next critical phase of its development.
About the role
The Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for the delivery of high quality, well co-ordinated and efficient healthcare services to meet the healthcare needs of the community. The CEO is responsible and accountable to the Board for managing and directing the organisation to achieve the objectives of Euroa Health. You will ensure the optimum use of financial and human resources and organise and control major functions relating to the operations and administration of the organisation.
To meet the requirements of the role you will have relevant post-graduate tertiary qualifications and substantial and proven experience in the leadership and management of a small to medium sized health service. A background in health service management, development and change management at a senior level would be advantageous. Knowledge of funding and current government policy and direction of acute, aged residential, community and primary health care services are also required for this position.
