About the role
This is an exciting, brand new permanent full time role in our executive leadership team, created as a result of continued business growth and to ensure optimal operational management as we transition into a new era of both service delivery and business transformation.
The Chief Operating Officer – Children, Youth and Families will provide transformational leadership to our organisation, inspire a client led culture and influence the strategic direction of the organisation to enable Anglicare Southern Queensland clients to achieve improved health and wellbeing outcomes and optimise quality of life for children, youth and families. You will lead a team consisting of senior Managers and group managers You will exhibit inspirational leadership; oversee operational excellence through strategic planning, savvy management, ensure sound financial management and optimal performance; oversee quality care governance, excellence in practice management and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

You will be an exceptional senior manager or executive, with extensive operational experience within the community, human services or health sector, managing multiple services or programs across a large geographic area. You will be able to work collaboratively with our executive leadership team. You will also bring:
- Comprehensive knowledge of community services and the current emerging trends and changes within the Australian and international environment
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities including being integral in influencing positive change management
- Experienced member of a senior leadership or executive team, with management of large-scale budgets and contribution to strategic planning
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to build effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders, excellent public speaking skills and ability to present to a board with confidence
- Demonstrated experience in managing and mitigating high level complex risk with the ability to be innovative, challenge existing practices and achieve best practice outcomes
- Proven ability in identifying and securing business growth opportunities
- Passionate about Anglicare’s vision and ability to promote the same

Role Requirements
- Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Behavioural Science, Human Services or related field
- Post-graduate qualification in one of the above areas (desirable)
- Qualification or significant practical experience in Business Management.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the service region
- Current National Police Certificate and Current Licenced Care Service (LCS) or ability to obtain
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- The ability to meet the requirements of a Key Personnel Check
