The National Tertiary Education Union (Victorian Division) covers staff employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union’s membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.
The successful candidate will initially be based at the La Trobe University Branch Office in Melbourne. You will be assigned a mix of duties, including, as part of a team, taking responsibility for the completion of organising, campaign, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch level and state-wide. You may be allocated to other NTEU Branches in Victoria from time to time.
The position is offered as a full-time, continuing appointment. It will be filled at NTEU Level 5/6 ($89,611 – $110,908), depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions. Terms and conditions for this position are covered by a national collective agreement that has terms comparable with NTEU members in the industry.
