About the role

About the role

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking a Specialist Lead for our Counselling program. This role involves providing leadership to a team of Counsellors across our locations at Tuggerah, Waitara, Artarmon, and Brookvale and ensuring high-quality, person-centred counselling services.

This role contributes to the strategic direction of this team and is a full-time permanent position.

 

Duties

  • Inspire and lead a team of counsellors.
  • Providing clinical oversight of the program to ensure safe, best practice.
  • Encouraging innovative service delivery across the program, demonstrating flexibility, for example: utilising and embracing technology.
  • Exceeding program requirements, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Support the Practice Manager in seeking additional growth opportunities for the program, including additional Fee for Service
  • Provision of counselling services to a small caseload of our clients

 

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Welfare, Psychology, or professionally related disciplines
  • Relevant registrations with peak bodies
  • Experience providing counselling services, with an understanding of therapeutic frameworks.
  • Ability to support a team and ensuring high quality, safe practice.
  • Post graduate studies in areas of counselling or relevant disciplines such as art therapy, child trauma therapy, play therapy, client counselling, music therapy and domestic violence training will be well regarded.
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and access to insured vehicle
  • A Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check
