Guide Dogs is the leading Australian provider of Guide Dogs and orientation and mobility services for people living with low vision or blindness. We are a trusted, long-standing and well recognised charity.

In this newly created position you will lead and influence to create a more accessible and inclusive environment for people with low vision and blindness. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and well profiled individual with strategic campaign, education and advocacy experience to provide leadership across our education and advocacy initiatives to achieve social change. This position plays a key role in developing and executing our social change strategy, with a strong focus on developing campaigns, community education and activation, policy and research.

What we love about you:

  • Your experience in a similar role engaging in systemic advocacy and campaign work and strategic engagement to influence societal change.
  • Your experience in issues-based strategic advocacy initiatives, including large scale campaigns, community education or public policy development.
  • Your demonstrable understanding of complex and politicised issues to successfully enact social change.
  • Your experience in partnership and stakeholder development, media engagement and community activation.
  • Your time management and problem-solving skills, and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Your prior experience at an executive level working and influencing all levels.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s) such as communications, marketing, law, public policy, political science, or international relations.
