The position
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Policy & Government Relations, you will build strategic relationships with Aware Super’s key stakeholder groups to ensure its Chair, CEO and executives have open access to government decision makers and influencers. In addition, you will be responsible for effectively disseminating its policy and strategic positions, liaising with people across the organisation and maintaining current stakeholder management practices.
About you
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in government relations, public or corporate affairs;
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels;
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining relevant networks in government and influencing policy outcomes;
- Ability to thrive in a high-performing team environment with multiple competing deadlines;
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities between government initiatives and commercial opportunities; and
- Tertiary qualifications in economics, public policy or journalism highly desirable.
