Database Administration Coordinator
UTS Advancement has an exciting opportunity for a Database Administration Coordinator to support philanthropic activity as well as alumni and community engagement

UTS Advancement builds philanthropic support for the university’s strategic priorities through sustained and mutually beneficial relationships with individuals, the community, corporates, trusts and foundations. Additionally, Advancement is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with over 270,000 alumni of UTS through a program of publications, communications, events and services.
About The Role
As Database Administration Coordinator you are responsible for the administration of the University’s database Raiser’s Edge NXT, a UTS-wide data resource for management of the University’s relationships, including alumni and prospect relationships. In this role you will carry out critical administration tasks related to the Raiser’s Edge system while providing training and support to stakeholders to ensure that the system meets ongoing UTS needs.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Perform system administration tasks for the Raiser’s Edge NXT database
- Support data stewardship and integrity, implement clean-up tasks and quality control audits
- Deliver training, advice and support for stakeholders in the Raiser’s Edge NXT database
- Review and refine procedures and documentation for imports and exports into the system
- Manage external systems integration including but not limited to: integration with Alumni Databases, Calling System, SMS System, Event Management System
With examples, please outline, in a separate document, how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points below:
- Demonstrated experience managing large relational database systems
- Well-developed organisational and prioritisation skills, as well highly developed writing and presentation skills (including the ability to develop and deliver tailored documentation and training)
- Knowledge and understanding of MS SQL Server Integration Services and Analysis Services
- Experience managing and delivering projects in a fast paced, high volume environment with high attention to detail and evidence of outcomes
- A proven ability to work across disciplines and engage in the business’ objectives
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $89,246 to $96,631 pa (HEW 6)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis
